Indoor navigation frameworks
What are the existing (free/commercial) indoor navigation frameworks designed for a mobile robot base, including mapping, localization and path planning? I only know the navigation stack from ROS and any google search delivers either useless results about some apps designed for humans or articles talking about vaporware but nothing concrete.
Do you mean completely different frameworks to e.g. move_base? Within ROS you have some variety of SLAM/Mapping/Tracking approaches, but the best maintained AFAIK are AMCL, gmapping and HectorSLAM. For local navigation, there are some more or less maintained approaches like SBPL, eband.
Yes I mean completely different frameworks, I've heard Kuka and Bluebotics offer such services. And I was also looking for alternatives for AMCL and occupancy grid mapping as it is not very applicable in a warehouse use case where shelves are at laser height and are not static (changing inventory)
