Hi there

I'm going to work with the kinect and use some libraries that go with it, for example OpeniN. I think that OpeniN is not supported in latest version of ROS !!!?

I used Hydro in Ubuntu 12.04 a year ago but now seems not working and google is not supporting this version of Ubuntu.

So what do you recommend me to install in terms of Ubuntu 32/64 bit and ROS)?

After a short google search, I cannot find anything about OpeniN and Kinect, but there is a openni package here for ROS, which supports all ROS distributions from electric to kinetic.

If would recommend using Ubuntu 14.04 with ROS Indigo, as Indigo will be supported for the next several years.
