Hokuyo, Velodyne, up to date experiences?

I just messed up my rplidar.

Kinda needed that, but the range is too short and the scan is too slow. (Very good value for the money, though).

Could someone please elaborate on any thoughts and insights into the differences between the two approaches, technically speaking?

If it is okey to ask, I would appreciate advice on swift delivery (North Europe).

PS: It will be mounted on a larger drone.
