Can I control the laser scanner using dc motor instead of servo ? [closed]

Hi, I have this dc motor .https://www.pololu.com/product/2827 . I want to use this dc motor to control laser scanner (urg 04lx) instead of dynamixel servo motor. I wrote an arduino code that reads angle data like servo . Can ı control the laser scanner using this dc motor instead of servo ?
