Add Pixhawk position estimate to HECTOR SLAM

Hi, I'm working on 2d mapping using hector slam and an hokuyo lidar. There is a pixhawk mounted on the robot, connected to ROS and publishing IMU, and position data. Is there a way to add pixhawk information (as odometry information, I think) to hector slam, to improve maps?
