Is their a way of using ROS kinetic and Gazebo 7 on MacBook

I want to use Gazebo 7 without crashes,lags and ROS Kinetic in my MacBook Air(2017). Is dual booting the only option ? I have used Ubuntu through VM Ware but Gazebo generally crashes or slows down
