ROS on Raspberry Pi running Jessie vs Ubuntu? Which one is better?
What are the advantages/disadvantages of running ROS on RPi with operating system Jessie as compared to Ubuntu? I am looking to use Hector SLAM with an RPiLIDAR on my Raspberry Pi 2. Would it be better to install Ubuntu as my RPi OS for ROS, or will the default Raspbian Jessie be fine?
I do not have any experience with the ubuntu mate on a raspberry, but my Robot is Running with Raspbian Jessie on a Pi 3 and is totally fine. You definitely can work with this.
