Realsense R200 for gmapping SLAM?

Hello, i wonder if it is possible to use turtlebot's 3 Waffle 3D camera Realsense R200 with gmapping SLAM. The goal would be to create 3D occupancy grid just like 2D SLAM gmapping with laser.
