DWA planner constantly replanning - got a new plan

I have a physical robot and i when i send a 2d nav goal through rviz, on the nav launch i can see many messages in a second : "Got new plan" and the robot does not move. I've also tried testing several parameters using rqt_reconfigure but it seems i am not getting anywhere. Any help on what may be happening?
