RVIZ Problems on the VirtualBox

Hello Community!  I am working right now on a virtual box with Ubuntu 16.0.6 with ros1 melodic. Today I would like to start rviz and I got kicked out by Ubuntu.  This means that when I start rviz the task bar and the status bar at the top disappears and Ubuntu crashes and I have to log in with my password again.  I have read many articles on the internet and tried the most popular solutions. I gave the virtual box max amount of VRAM witch is in my particular situation 128 MB and I turned off the 3D-Acceleration.  Now I am at the end with my though and I would like to ask the community kindly for any solution! Thanks and have a nice weekend!

Do you have any logs in the ˜/.ros/logs/ directory?

I am able to use VirtualBox running on ros-melodic on ubuntu 18.04, maybe you could try ubuntu 18.04 as that's the targeted version for ros-melodic.

Thanks for the answers, I found a solution. I installed VMWare Player and there is RVIZ working fine. I don't recommend Oracle VirtualBox for ROS and ROS-Tools.

Thanks!
