Hello,

I have the Bumblebee XB3 running in ROS. Everything works correctly with kernel 3.2 , but when switching to 3.4 , images seem to "jump back in time". You can see an example of this behaviour in this video:

I guess it must be some problem with the Firewire driver. Any idea on how to fix this?

Thanks

Which driver are you using?

For ROS, I am using this package: https://github.com/Auburn-Automow/camera_drivers . If you mean the Firewire driver, I am using the one that comes with the stock Ubuntu kernel version 3.4.0-030400

We use Ubuntu 12.04, and http://www.ros.org/wiki/camera1394stereo with a BB2. May I ask you why did you change the kernel?

I changed the kernel version due to some USB 3.0 problems of the kernel 3.2 . So it seems that I have to choose between using USB 3.0 (kernel 3.4) or using Firewire (kernel 3.2)

Maybe you need to install kernel compatible Firewire libraries in order to match these with your new kernel.
