create catkin packages

I was learning the tutorials to create catkin packages. It brought this error when I run catkin_make : The CXX compiler identification is unknown, CMake Error: your complier: "'CMAKE_CXX_COMPLIER-NOTFOUND" was not found. Please set CMAKE_CXX_COMPILER to a valid compiler path or name. Configuring Incomplete, errors occurred. See also ''/home/Ubuntu/catkin_ws/build" Invoking "cmake failed.

Please help me, I don't know what this means and I need answer soonest. Thanks for your assistance

what I understand you are missing some ros dependencies..... try these in software center and see if they are installed...

gcc compiler
g++ 
cmake

if they are not installed install them and try again
