I'm in the Boston area, and I have a Turtlebot2 with kobuki base and Asus 1025c laptop (teeny laptop). Email me and you can come visit.
It's good for what it is, but make sure you have a nice floor surface for it. I think the best is a tight pile indoor carpet, such as in modern office. I had an apartment in Southie, where the floors were shiny slippery wood but not flat, not level, and a little creaky. This caused a lot of problems with navigation as small slippages build up. Same thing with my new apartment, but for a different reason. This time, the moderate shag carpet hangs up the front and rear roller when it turns. I'm working on this.
