Warning: I am fairly new to this and am a bit of an idiot. I was trying to pick up ROS for some College UR work and was having some trouble with the install procedures put for Windows 10 ( http://wiki.ros.org/Installation/Windows ). I installed VS 2019 fine but when I went to step for ran the VS Command window to enter the lines of code for 4, when I did 'choco upgrade git -y' The only response I could get was 'choco' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.' I tried to redo the install command for it chocolatey since it obviously wasn't picking it up but after half an hour of trying to fix it I still got nothing.

Could you please use relevant tags in the future? Even though Windows is a supported OS these days, most of the community will be using a Linux based OS.

Did you find a way around this?

You have to add chocko to your path variable.

Just search your pc vor choco.exe and add the containing folder to the environment variable path.

If the file do not exist on your pc you may have problems with the choco install.

Did you try to run choco in a cmd with admin rights?
